Is this what it looks like if someone's account has been removed due to inactivity for 30 days? Because I'm livid. What is the process for trying to get this reinstated?
@NeolithicSheep ... well that's 5 minutes of my life that I'm not getting back. o.O
This is also a bit extra weird living in an area not TOO far from Amish and Mennonite folks. XD
@vale_wanderer @JackGogsbane To inform him that DUE to usage by bad actors, it can read that way--both by people it's used to attack or bar, & as support by the people doing it.
+ I & many others are affected when ppl do.
+ I didn't want to assume he meant the same w/out asking.
+ I'd want the heads up.
@vale_wanderer @JackGogsbane As one example of a wider problem in fantasy, which is hardly limited to a single medium. It's also clearly connected. RoP is based on books that were one of the primary inspirations for Dungeons and Dragons, the biggest fantasy TTRPG to date.
Your response seems disingenuous.
@vale_wanderer @JackGogsbane FFS, learn how to find the next comment when there's an indicator that something is a thread. There's already been a good conversation w/ Jack & Valmar.
If you haven't had that kind of crap directed at you recently, that's awesome. Don't be dismissive of people dealing w/ it.
@OllieView@Druid_Zephyrus@tattoosandbones Yeah, but AFAIK it's a relatively fragile one. I mean, it's not sheet mica or anything, but it's relatively prone to scratches and cracking--more the latter in variable humidity, as so much of it is actually made of water. It's why you're not supposed to let it get wet.
@OllieView@Druid_Zephyrus@tattoosandbones Wait, you're chucking opal around without it breaking? Is it bonded with stuff, or are you only using it in a leather dice tray or something?
@JackGogsbane @ErebusValmar It is indeed a curse of twitter that sometimes a single tweet will be thrown to the winds of virality absent its context--it's why I clicked over here to see what else you said with it. I'm glad to see what you meant is indeed as I'd hoped!
It's a door that's been slammed a lot.
@ErebusValmar @JackGogsbane Personally speaking, if I said something that seems reasonable, but is getting use as a dog whistle elsewhere, I'd love a heads up. It lets me clarify I don't mean THAT, & prevents accidentally encouraging or welcoming the other behavior b/c I didn't realize the added usage. 3/3
@ErebusValmar @JackGogsbane accusing OP of racism. I wanted to make sure he's aware that this statement has recently been used more loudly as cover to be racist, homophobic, and transphobic. That way he's prepared for possible misinterpretation, and can add clarity if he wishes. 2/3
