I guess now is a good a time as any. I wanted to do a small test to see what kind of fidelity i could get out of the Sonic Mania Rig. I'm pretty happy with the results! Sonic is 3D, The effects are drawn over in Photoshop. Please enjoy!

Michelle's proof of concept is out!

I'll share more details on how we achieved the look by combining CelShading, Hatching lines, Weighted Outlines, Painted (and Procedural) Stylized Normals and Motion Smearing.

"Why bother? I'm probably too stupid to understand anyway, right?" Has so much weight that reflects Goofy's history, the times hes been with Mickey & Donald, his "How To" shorts

His anger is justified in this film cause Max is rude & belittles his father throughout the trip-

This is a great glimpse into the future of game animation. Embracing fundamentals & applying the principles of animation to create something meaningful.
Its time for game anim to move past realism. We are no longer held back by tech or hardware. The craft should lead us forward.

Call me "radical," but I don't think we should be using gen AI for anything. Not for writing emails, papers, scripts, reports, generating "content ideas," art or video. I really don't think there is any value to shortcutting the "learning" part of doing something.

@cocoadisanjh How am i supposed to encourage the next Gen of Game devs to get into this meatgrinder... "We do it for the shareholders!!!" >:(
