What if I told You that Lando Norris could have POTENTIALLY been a title contender this season?

At Miami:
Leading the race from Kimi with a decent gap, gets undercut by Merc as Mclaren pitwall is late to respond, loses a win.

A 14-point swing against Kimi

At Canada:
Was the best of the rest behind the Mercedes duo all weekend, McLaren makes the call to start the race on intermediates. With GR retiring, that would have been a P2 finish

Loses another 18-points against Kimi

At Madrid:
Mercedes was proactive, slowed Kimi down for a potential VSC, McLaren didn't.

A 17-points swing against Kimi

That's a 49 points swing against the championship leader

and I've yet to include the reliablity stuff like the DNS in China, or reliability issues in Japan, or in Monaco.

Even if we exclude the reliability stuff, Lando would have been just 57 points behind Kimi with 8/9 races left...

we would have had a legitimate title battle on our hands!!!!
