It’s wishful thinking that the world will pivot to blaming Iran instead of the US after the past 4 months, especially if they leverage their control of the straight in response to military aggression.
China is going to be the most up-in-arms over any closure of Hormuz, and it wouldn’t be due to the closure of Hormuz so much as the US blockade of Iranian tankers delivering them crude.
No matter how you slice it the US is in a very unfortunate strategic position now. It’s neigh untenable and Israel has stated as much solely considering their interests, first and formost being the prevention of Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
We already tried to turn Iran into a parking lot and failed. Iran doesn’t need to reneg on a deal that gives them everything they want, including the ability to create nuclear weapons, control over the straight of Hormuz, and an end to Israeli aggression in Lebanon. Israel and by proxy the US have already reneged on this deal so guess who looks bad now? I don’t know why I ask since this same story has happened several times over the past 4 months and you still have yet to learn.
We could always do this. It will always be expensive for Americans, and will always cause Iran to seek ways to undermine the US. Iran’s freedom fighters now literally fight for freedom from US tyranny.
Iran controls the straight of Hormuz, and has not yielded to US power. The more we spend of American money to bomb them, the less likely this is to change.
Trump has exchanged all American leverage over Iran at the behest of Israel, and put us in a worse strategic position.
Ali Khamenei is replaced by his son who is undoubtedly more hardline after the US killed his wife and sons.
We may have destroyed their navy and air force but they control a previously uncontrolled bottleneck in the straight of Hormuz.
The IRGC is also undoubtedly more influential now than before the war, where the civilian branch was always more open to negotiations (see the 2016 Iran deal)
That deal required international oversight of Iran’s nuclear program, and prevented them from developing enriched uranium. None of that exists now or is even on the table, and we’re still going to give the 400 million to Iran. For what? No Ali Khamenei, but the government is more anti American. No navy or air force, but more power and influence. No nuclear program, but no way to prevent one without losing another war and shutting down a key trade route.

“What’s wrong with you blue team people”
I’m angry you voted for our president when he is blatantly doing at the highest levels far worse things far more frequently than this and you still get on a high horse. Yes any rigging would be bad, so is making war, stealing from American taxpayers, undermining elections by harassing candidates, I don’t even want to go on but you know I could. Fuck you that’s what’s wrong.
There are people that watch Star Wars and don’t get deeper than “the force is space magic”. Hard to comprehend, Lucas is extremely overt with the principles that underpin his saga.
Star Wars Andor fans are, at heart, perpetual tweenage adolescents who are embarrassed at still liking a kid’s property, want to be treated like Serious Intellectuals, and so they turn to the Shadow the Hedgehog version of the story that’s clearly embarrassed of its origins.
@Nichola92184743@dylthorn@seattleiscrazy If you’re trying to prove wealth flight you need a stronger case than there are more sales. You should also provide evidence of the claim you are making about listings being 30% up yoy. A cursor search shows you are wrong or lying. https://t.co/kuxik8436u
@InfidelJustan@camhigby I’m open to reconsidering, please show me the evidence.
I can report with my own eyes and ears this is not the case, but it’s definitely possible there’s a trend I’m not seeing.
But unless you show me one, you sir are the liar.
@camhigby Not in Seattle. But you would call that the nanny state. Anarchy is not allowed in every major city. It’s never time to stand up against civil rights. What is untenable is government overreach.
