A 2000 year old Roman water channel that still flows today
This incredible underground aqueduct is hidden right inside the Smyrna Agora in Izmir, Türkiye.
Built by the ancient Romans it originally carried fresh spring water to the city baths and fountains.
The stone arches are incredibly well preserved and the main channel is actually large enough for a person to walk through. After 2000 years the water is still actively flowing and is currently used to irrigate the modern archaeological site.
all of Ray Peat's work on the topic is useful, and it's freely available.

menopause onset (first missed period, bone loss, depression) is a failure to produce progesterone. it's not estrogen deficiency. everyone thinks it's estrogen deficiency.
progesterone blocks cortisol that drives bone catabolism. estrogen strongly promotes prolactin, prolactin causes osteoporosis. estrogen also suppresses thyroid, which regulates bone repair.
that article and his other work explains each symptom of menopause and how pregnenolone and progesterone work to prevent it.
iirc a woman who took Peat's advice with this still hadn't reached menopause into her late 60s.
@Grimezsz pregnenolone + progesterone (Progest-E) solves this. I'm 44 and my period is still like clockwork and lasts 4 days. my skin is perfect. people think I'm younger than I am. I'll never reach menopause. read Ray Peat's work, it will illuminate your whole mind
Every woman on earth should be demanding solutions for menopause - your heart, your bones, your connective tissue, beauty, mental health, intellect - And no one tells u about this
Whoever invests in this now will be rich. Please God spare the millennials
There was a moment in time when the democrats could have become the serious party. The party of experts, of men with letters. The mature responsible party. But for some reason they threw that away to be the party of normalizing your child asking mom why he cut his tits off on Father’s Day.
There is an old Jewish tale told in the Talmud about a master who sent his servant to buy for him fish in the market.
The servant came back with a fish that was utterly rotten and smelled bad for his master.
His master gave the servant three options:
Eat the rotten fish, pay a fine, or be expelled from the city.
The servant chose the first and began eating the rotten fish.
Halfway through eating the rotten fish he just couldn't stomach it anymore so he asked to pay the fine.
After he paid half the fine he realized he cannot afford it anymore and was therefore expelled from the city, thereby taking on all three punishments.
That is what JD Vance did to himself by turning on Israel and his horrifying performance today in Switzerland.
Because 1913 was the year America’s financial system was permanently rewritten. After the secretive Jekyll Island meeting, where political insiders and major bankers helped shape the blueprint, Congress created the Federal Reserve, while the 16th Amendment expanded federal income-tax power.
Paul Warburg, a Jewish German-born banker from the Warburg banking family - was one of the key voices pushing for a European-style central banking model for the U.S.
Whether you call it reform or a quiet transfer of monetary power, in 1913 the Jewish bankers took over America.
