something they don't tell you is that if you get into making metal music in a small town you WILL encounter 80s-movie-villain-tier boomers who sound like one of those parents from School of Rock
Lmfao i remember my hg was throwing a party and r Kelly came on and one of the dudes there just kept repeating “this song is about an 11 year old girl” until she turned it off and it was so effective 😭
"toby fox writes like somebody took everything from him" and the joke responses are funny but i always remember a mutual pointing out that toby can't even play piano anymore and it All makes Sense
There was never a mystery to explore, that's the point of EP7
The fandom just made their own theories and built these expectations that there's this deep lore of the circus when there never was in the first place
Goose made it very clear TADC isn't some fnaf like mystery
Pomni is interesting if you see her as a person and not some sort of failed vessel for the fandom. She was a fresh face who wasn't sick with Jax's poison, and the two actually got on before Jax ran away in terror. Makes sense she would cherish those brief moments of closeness.
Like, listen to twitter and you'd think this is some super dirty evil character when in reality it's just your typical complicated person with layered feelings. Did the TADC fandom watch any other show before ? 😭😭
Ya know. Zoobles trans too. But people don’t really care about non binary transitions.
their struggle in the circus was really interesting considering how much emphasis Caine had put on their self image. Room full of mirrors, interchangeable but miss matching body
It's actually fantastic representation of a trans woman dealing with internalized transphobia and misogyny that leads her to committing. Not all representation is sunshine and rainbows. Jax is painfully good rep it's just not pretty rep, which is what you want.
Reminder that Goose survived conversion therapy, and Jax is mostly born from the self-loathing and pain that caused her. She's stated that she's lucky it didn't kill her.
People also forget that Ribbit is an ex-Mormon. She left a religion notorious for ostracizing ex-members. She mentions regretting cutting off her parents, and then Jax makes her relive that trauma by forcefully cutting her off. No wonder Ribbit wasn't reaching out to anyone else.
in the internet age people have completely stopped engaging with stories as fiction trying to convey themes and a message (aka art) and just treat it as enforcement and nothing more. a common attitude is treating it basically like events happening, and the ending is what the 1/
JAX IS A TRANS WOMAN
JAX IS A WELL WRITTEN CHARACTER
JAX IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER
TADC DOES NOT HAVE HORRIBLE WRITING
BLIND HATRED ≠ CRITICISM
TADC TIKTOK USERS ARE MEDIA ILLITERATE
MOST JAX HATERS ARE IMMATURE AND ANNOYING
FUNNYBUNNY IS YURI
ANALYZING BEHAVIOR ≠ JUSTIFYING IT
Why does every trans character need to be “trans representation”? Why can’t she just be her own unique character, who is trans? Why does she need to represent the entire transgender community instead of just representing herself? Trans people are allowed to flawed.
am i wrong or is some of the upset about a certain circus finale = having to wrestle with some really ambiguous, intractable realities about closeted people, and having to actually treat closeted people as full complex human beings without woobifying them
