@LASportsKevo @HockeyThinkTank Mistakes and turnovers are a part of the game. I welcomed them. They present opportunities to teach and a moment for a player to learn. As a youth coach, I was less concerned about wins and losses, and more focused on preparing my players for their next team.

@LASportsKevo @HockeyThinkTank I always told my players that icing the puck was the last resort. I did drills that forced players to possess the puck and work with teammates to skate the puck out. I wanted my players to not panic, be creative, and learn to find the right hockey play on their own.
