Folks, Lakeville Loonatics Town Ball team is doing a meat raffle tonight. Could be thanks to @ZachDuckworth. I'm not sure. But great opportunity and free hotdogs!
Today in Lakeville we honor and remember.
“Those who have long enjoyed such privileges as we enjoy forget in time that men have died to win them.”
-FDR
“WE GAVE UP OUR YESTERDAYS FOR YOUR TOMORROWS.”
At 98 years old, WWII veteran David Yoho stood in the rain reminding Americans to never forget the sacrifices made by his generation.
Stroll down Holyoke Avenue in Downtown Lakeville and you’ll spot something pretty special 🇺🇸.
In celebration of America’s 250th, new “America 250” banners are now flying alongside a powerful tribute made possible through a partnership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Lining the avenue are commemorative American flags representing every version of our nation’s flag—each one marked by a different number of stars as our country grew.
It’s a unique and meaningful display of history you won’t want to miss. The flags will be on display through Labor Day, so there’s plenty of time to experience it.
