In these sentences is the denial of concrete claim with a clear meaning, the "contrast" is an abstraction that can mean whatever you want it to mean. Which is dangerous when it comes to disclosure of erotic transference. Barsness is not "playing his cards face up", if you will.
Dr. Barsness: "I would like to be clear that neither myself nor my colleague Dr. Strawn are, as you say, advocates for disclosure of erotic countertransference. Quite the contrary, we are advocates for an authentic human encounter rooted in the sacredness of our shared humanity."
