You don't learn reverse engineering by reading about it. You learn by doing it.
That's why I built https://t.co/BabZ0NwSJp, a free platform with hands-on RE challenges using real malware:
Whether you're starting out or sharpening your skills, this is how you level up.
Anyone who tests AI on their area of expertise rapidly realizes that AI is an idiot.
Unfortunately, it is becoming clear to me that many humans do not have an area of expertise.
RE tip of the day: Apart from getting a pointer to PEB directly using FS:[0x30]/GS:[0x60], malware can first get a pointer to the TEB structure (FS:[0x18]/GS:[0x30]) and then add 0x30/0x60 to it to find the PEB pointer there.

Here’s your reminder to write down your book ideas & plot hole fixes because those things tend to have a 10-minute lifespan before vanishing from your brain forever 🫠
you should sign up for their Pitchfest updates if you wanna be notified about future submission windows because not all tastemakers are open every time!
