🌾ASSOCHAM Goa State Council, in collaboration with the Government of Goa, successfully organised the Agriculture Conclave 2025 on 8th October 2025 at Taj Vivanta, Panjim – Goa.

The conclave commenced with a lamp-lighting ceremony and brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and experts to deliberate on empowering Agro Industries and Agri Startups.

Shri Mauvin Godinho, Hon’ble Minister of Industries, Panchayat, Transport, Protocol & Legislative Affairs, Government of Goa, graced the event as Chief Guest, releasing the joint ASSOCHAM–Primus Partners India report “Empowering Small-Scale Players in India’s Food Supply Chain can unleash ₹1000 Cr.”

🌿 The event also featured Shri Arjun Mohan, IAS, Secretary to Governor, Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, Government of Goa (Guest of Honour); Shri Sandeep Foldessai, Director, Department of Agriculture, Government of Goa (Special Guest); and Shri Sandeep Dharkar, General Manager, NABARD Goa Regional Office (Keynote Speaker), who shared valuable insights on innovation, agripreneurship, and sustainable growth in Goa’s agriculture sector.

#ASSOCHAM Goa State Development Council, in collaboration with MSME-DFO, for the state of Goa, Government of India, and with the support of NABARD, Goa Regional Office, recently hosted #MSMEWorkshop on “Unlocking the potentials of MSME: Opportunities & Way Forward.”

The workshop aimed to strengthen #MSME business operations and drive sectoral growth across Goa by providing a platform for discussions on key areas essential for MSME development. These included innovation, research and development, financial inclusions, digital marketing, global competitiveness, export promotion, and exclusive guidance on Trade Receivables Electronic Discounting System (TReDS).

The workshop was graced by Shri Mauvin Godinho, Hon'ble Minister of Industries, Panchayat, Transport & Protocol, Government of Goa, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted Goa’s evolving industrial landscape and emphasised the importance of such platforms in fostering a business-friendly ecosystem, empowering #entrepreneurship, fostering innovation and ensuring seamless access to financial and technological support. He also stressed the need to promote #WomenEntrepreneurship and strengthen the rural economy across the state.

The session aimed to equip attendees with the knowledge and guidance needed to optimise their personal and professional finances. Shri Krishna Daji Salkar, Chairman, South Goa Planning & Development Authority (SGPDA), Government of Goa, and Hon'ble MLA of Vasco constituency, graced the event as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring message on financial empowerment.

Shri Girish Borkar, Chairperson of the Municipal Corporation of Mormugao, joined as the Special Guest and emphasised the importance of #FinancialInclusion in driving #entrepreneurship and fostering economic growth. Smt. Shami Krishana Salkar, a noted social worker, highlighted the cultural, social, and economic barriers that hinder women’s access to financial services, particularly for those in marginalised communities.
