Respected @siddaramaiah, @DKShivakumar,

Today marks the 74th day of our continuous demand for immediate BBMP elections. As India celebrated her 78th Independence Day on 15th August, citizens of Electronics City took to the streets, waving the Tricolors amidst garbage-infested roads. The attached image speaks volumes about the neglect faced by Bengaluru’s IT corridors, which have been subjected to step-motherly treatment by the government for over a decade. No master plan for a world-class city!

These areas, crucial to the city’s economy, are treated as cash cows with almost zero civic amenities provided in return. Without an elected city body, these regions have seen little growth and no improvement in basic civic amenities.

The need for BBMP elections is now more urgent than ever. Only with a properly elected and accountable administration can Bengaluru’s IT corridors receive the attention and civic services they rightfully deserve.

Veerasagara lake near Attur layout, Yelahanka. This was the local politician filling up the lake on one side despite it being on both sides of road. Now we see temporary structures which deal with garbage that have come up. Soon converted into sites.

This is Gattahalli Road in Bengaluru, an important arterial road that connects Electronic City with Doddakannelli and Kadubisanhalli. It's marked as an RMP road, which will be a crucial arterial road for the upcoming PRR Road. Unfortunately, this road has not been maintained for the past six years, as it falls under the village Panchayat's jurisdiction. Unlike BBMP roads, these roads are often neglected. Roads like these damage Bengaluru's reputation and make it IT Slum. @siddaramaiah @DKShivakumar, the people of Anekal have shown their trust in @INCKarnataka MLA @MLAShivanna @DKSureshINC for the third time.
