I want to share with you something wonderful homa-related which happened two days ago as part of autumnal equinox celebration. In Slovenia there is still the old-faith community existing in a few pockets of the country. Our pre-christian religion was like a sister of vedic culture. Of all of the world's languages our language is grammatically closest to sanskrit.
One day a representative of the old-faith community called me and asked me if I'd be inspired to translate the homa into our language and plant it into our soil, addressing the devatas with our old Slavic names. I accepted the challenge. We worked for 3 weeks to get the homa proceedure right and adjust it to the native-faith frame. Our ancestors performed fire rituals, but most of the details have been lost except that they offered grains and a specially prepared ceremonial bread as the final offering. We included this special decorated bread in this homa.

It was a public event and a true milestone for the Slovenian old-faith community as it brought it a structured fire ritual rooted in living tradition of India.

We could feel the presence of Svarog (Surya) as the main deity of the homa very much. The blessings were there without a doubt.

Kindly bless this community which wants to keep the sanatana-dharma as has been known in our land for centuries alive.

PS: The devatas to which we offered purnahuti were Svarožič / Ogen (Agni), Perun (Indra), Svarog (Surya), Svetovid (Brahma), Živa (Adi-shakti) and Triglav (Shiva as Trilokeshwara). As said, the main deity of the homa was Svarog (Surya).
