मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रदेश के सबसे ताकतवर IAS अधिकारी का बैंड बजा डाला।

महाभारत के 'संजय' की तरह सत्ता के सबसे करीब रहने वाले अपर मुख्य सचिव को बहुत बुरी तरह लताड़ा।

वो भी वीसी के दौरान सैकड़ों IAS-IPS अधिकारियों की मौजूदगी में।

मुख्यमंत्री ने पूछा- "तुम करते क्या हो पूरा टाइम? आखिर बाढ़ राहत को लेकर चल रही बातचीत के दौरान प्रमुख सचिव बाढ़ कैसे गायब हैं?

तुमने क्यों नहीं बुलाया? तुम्हें हंसी ठिठौली करते रहने के लिए अपर मुख्य सचिव मुख्यमंत्री बना रखा है?

गृह और सूचना जैसे विभाग दे रखे हैं। तमाशा बना दिया है तुमने? निकाल बाहर करूंगा।"

मुख्यमंत्री इस कदर फायर थे कि अपर मुख्य सचिव की आवाज़ बंद हो चुकी मोटरसाइकिल में मारी जा रही किक के जवाब में 'घर्र-घर्र' करके निकल रही थी।

इतनी बुरी तरह बेइज्जत होने के बाद वे 'मैं तुलसी तेरे आंगन की' जैसी शक्ल में पूरा टाइम नजरें झुकाए बैठे रहे।

मुख्यमंत्री इससे पिछली वाली मीटिंग में यहां तक कह चुके हैं कि वे पूरे मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय की सर्जरी कर देंगे।

अगर मुख्यमंत्री अपनी बात पर कायम रहते हैं तो आपको जल्द ही मुख्यमंत्री कार्यालय में बहुत बड़ा बदलाव देखने को मिलेगा।

और अगर वे धन और सौंदर्य के मधु के पीछे भ्रमर की तरह नाचने वाले अपने इस अपर मुख्य सचिव की जांच करा देते हैं,

तो सत्य का हैरतअंगेज़ पोस्टर बाजा फाड़कर सामने आएगा।

गेंद मुख्यमंत्री के पाले में है।

इतिहास की आंखें उनके होने वाले फैसले पर टकटकी लगाकर बैठी हैं।

I never wanted to write this, but I will.

I'm a UC-GC. My father served in the Army (Kargil war veteran) and retired in 2008. While still in service, he took a loan in the early 2000s to build a house in the city. During that period, several OBC/SC families living around the area filed multiple FIRs related to our land. We eventually won the cases, but the legal battles drained us mentally and financially, while the loan burden kept growing.

I still remember wearing my sister's shirts and white PT shoes because we couldn't afford new clothes. Even the quarterly school fee was often difficult to pay. I hardly ever had new books use to borrow from seniors in half rate, and I never went for tuition until Class 12. The house was somehow completed in 2007, but sustaining the family finances remained a struggle because of the debt.

In 2010, my eldest sister was selected twice for the MPhil-PhD program in Economics at JNU. However, due to financial constraints, she couldn't take admission because we couldn't arrange the semester fees. My second eldest sister qualified AIPMT (Pre)-2011 without any coaching. Around 2012-13, my father decided to sell the house to pay all the accumulated debt and for coaching.

I may write more someday. But I don't understand why some people think struggle, financial hardship, and injustice are limited to a specific category. I was just a little kid when bank officials would come to our house regarding loan repayments while my father was posted in Baramulla. I also remember how my mother sacrificed her youth, carrying the burden of the family without ever asking for a single penny from her parents or in-laws.
