@adie_codes Smashing Mag has some good books for TS and building accessible components. You can buy individually or membership there ($7ish a month) will get you access to them for free (if that’s also a possibility for your budget) https://t.co/OdMGuhsXah. Hope you are doing well mate 😁
@levelsio@rameerez For me the pricing boxes look a little awkward. If I'm interested to the point I'm looking at the prices, I think they are a bit of a turn-off. I would left-align the text and give the plan details a bit more space to breathe :)
@bahrdev@theburningmonk@goserverless Definitely! I've also found it a really solid reference for thinking about how to unit/integration/e2e test resources. Not just lambda but VTL too!
@ryanflorence Would you mind explaining what they are doing right? I would love to have the knowledge to be able to make the same statement on what makes a web app state of the art 😅
@arvidkahl I read the announcement as the same kind of scenario as Stripe/Indiehackers and Zapier/Makerpad. I'm hoping that they will remain pretty autonomous around operations. But once you have someone looking over your shoulder to some extent, you can't know for sure I guess!
@paulswail - really enjoyed your simple guide to testing that popped in my inbox today (https://t.co/FSahP0sNRk). Any thoughts on e2e testing when you having to work with RDS? How do you ensure your db is in sync across stages? Really enjoy your content, thanks!
@paulswail With DynamoDB, you kind of get the permissions in code through your IAMRoleStatements. You know the configuration works for dev, it should work for prod. RDS access is on a per user/instance basis, how can you be sure that your prod user has the right access before deploying?
@paulswail Yer more around the schema. Would you have something in code to manage migrations (i.e. knex js) and just add another step in the test/staging/prod stages to run a migrations command? Would you also therefore need to keep user permissions in migrations too to keep env in sync?
@theandreboso@arvidkahl Totally agree. There's so many "audience building" clickbait tweets lately. But this was a nice reminder that I need to work on reaching out and engaging meaningfully with others!
