I had the honour of addressing a distinguished group of global mining investors on Tuesday May 12 at the Exclusive Investors’ Forum at the Penn Club of New York, hosted by Newcore Gold Ltd.
Accompanied by Ghana’s Ambassador to the US, H.E. Victor Smith, I shared the vision of President John Dramani Mahama’s "Reset Agenda," which is a transformative drive to solidify Ghana’s position as Africa’s premier mining destination and a rising hub for critical minerals, including lithium, bauxite, and iron ore.
I outlined the wealth of opportunities available to ethical, forward-looking investors across the entire mining value chain, from large-scale extraction and refining to engineering services and downstream processing.
Ghana is diversifying, Ghana is open for business and Ghana is ready for the future.

🇬🇭 JUST IN :
Engineers and Planners (E&P), owned by Dr.Ibrahim Mahama, has been selected to take over the Damang Mine, scoring 93.15% in the government’s tender review.

I ask a straightforward question regarding the point raised by some senior members of the NPP and other commentators who advance the point that the party has not officially notified Parliament through the Rt.Hon.Speaker regarding the affected MPs' forfeiture of their party membership.
Will the NPP's presidential candidate, Dr.Mahummud Bawumia endorse the new parliamentary candidates running on the ticket of the NPP in those constituencies, or will they continue to support the candidates who have chosen to run as independents, particularly in Suhum and Agona West?
It is worth noting that the NPP’s constitution and rules stipulate that members who contest as independents automatically forfeit their membership.
Article 3 of the NPP constitution on forfeiture of membership explicitly states: “A Member of the Party who stands as an independent candidate against the officially elected member of the Party, or who joins or declares his or her support for another political party, or for an independent candidate, when the Party has sponsored a candidate in a general or by-election, automatically forfeits his or her membership of the Party.”
Have these long-standing and enforceable rules and regulations suddenly changed?
It beggars belief.
THE NDC PARLIAMENTARY MAJORITY HAS COME TO STAY.
