The idea? Get Orbán a senior position at the United Nations in New York.

Let’s be clear: this isn't about giving him a prestigious job because he’s an expert in international policy.

The actual work doesn't matter one bit. The job title is just a Trojan horse. The only thing they’re really offering him is the one thing he can’t buy with all those diverted Hungarian tax euros: full diplomatic immunity.

Under the 1946 UN Convention, if you land a high-level gig—like an Under-Secretary-General or an Assistant Secretary-General—you’re not just getting a nice office in Manhattan. You’re getting a "get-out-of-jail-free" card that shields you, your spouse, and your kids from almost any legal proceedings.

Now that their favorite test subject has been kicked out by the voters, they want to make sure he doesn't have to face the music.

If they pull this off, it’ll be a giant middle finger to every Hungarian who stood up and voted for a new, cleaner chapter. It’s a message that says: *In our world, the strongmen don’t go to jail—they just get a promotion and a taxpayer-funded office in Manhattan.
