@jayy_7781@josemorgado Jack has huge potential, and he’ll be returning to competition next week. Murray had injury issues for years and was eventually able to overcome them, Jack will do the same. Also, Progression isn’t linear, Pegula’s 32 and playing her best tennis at the moment. Jack’s only 24.
@Fergus_Gav Is it? She’s already got the matches in that she needed.. when you play the week before a slam there’s always a risk that you won’t be fresh and might be a little tired - she made the final of a 500 last week and so her game is in a good place, so why would she play Eastbourne?
@day156324@the_LTA It happens all the time, it’s just that the mics are a lot closer in queens so hear it a lot more. This isn’t anything new, listen to jovic’s coach against Anisimova
@OliLondonTV It’s a very personal decision, and the severity of Down syndrome can vary significantly. Some can live fully independently etc and others are completely dependent forever. I hope this couple made the decision for the benefit of the child and didn’t automatically disregard it.
@yogurtraisin@BritishTennisUp Also.. they have awarded them to up and coming teenage players.. Mika has been given a wildcard, Mimi hasn’t been playing much due to injury and Hannah is lower ranked so it makes sense for them to both play in qualifying.
@yogurtraisin@BritishTennisUp No their selection makes sense.. also - Players peak at different ages, plus Katie’s had injury struggles for years. She was world number 2 in Juniors for a reason, she’s talented. They’ve given WC’s to the players that have progressed the most results/ranking-wise recently.
@BritishTennisUp Makes sense. They’ve awarded wildcards to the players that have made the most progress in recent months.. and the others have been given wildcards into qualifying. Katie, Mika & Alice definitely.. I guess they chose Harriet because she’s the highest ranked player outside Top 100
@Cristin75773247@BarclayCard18 I don’t think he means Jack will win Wimbledon in 2026, he’s saying in the year of 2026 Andy will start coaching the next British Wimbledon Men’s Singles Champion
