Gam Wijetunge from @NHTSAgov Office of EMS is presenting updates to #NAEMSP2025. The National EMS Advisory Council (NEMSAC) advises the Federal Interagency Committee on EMS (FICEMS) and is made up of 25 representatives from the #EMS community, including many @NAEMSP members.

Another significant and under-realized benefit of BIDIRECTIONAL DATA SHARING between #EMS & #Hospitals is the ability to improve care on BOTH ends! This study had 1.7 million EMS incidents with >500k outcomes! #NAEMSP2025

There is a large disconnect between @HRSAgov forecasting for paramedics & @BLS_gov & @NASEMSO current numbers. Somewhere between 200k & 1 million clinicians?? Too many double counts, missing FF’s, dual certs, certified but not working. We need an accurate count. #NAEMSP2025
