We need your help to protect the archives.
Please consider supporting our campaign to build backup infrastructure outside of corporate clouds.
We must protect the evidence.
1/ Don't let tech oligarchs delete the evidence. Don't let them rewrite the history of the genocide.
We build memory at Databases for Palestine. Without memory, there can not be justice.
We need your help.
2/2 - This update was made possible thanks to WITNESS Data adding basemap selection to their embedded maps.
We are migrating all of our mapping software to https://t.co/2bkvy4LzUP, largely out of fear that Palestine archives will be targeted for deplatforms by corporate tech.
We just published 3 more tributes to martyred journalists from Gaza, authored by their colleagues.

New feature: we now display the "yellow line" on all geolocated uploads and events.
Please note: This is the original IDF boundary posted in December of last year, not the current reality on the ground (which is even worse).
New feature on Genocide dot live: photographs.
Until today, the site was just video archival. We now archive photographs, with the same detailed categorization as videos.
Photos will be added to the map soon.
Without memory, there can be no justice.

New feature on @databases4pal:
We created a tool to feature a mutual aid campaign from Gaza on the home page of our website.
A different campaign is highlighted every hour.
We are honored to publish the first tribute to a martyred journalist from Gaza, written by a displaced journalist from Gaza.
Israel wants to erase the memory of the martyred journalists.
Their stories are not over.
1/3 - Databases for Palestine maintains a non-public database of sexual violence.
One of the most horrifying patterns we discovered after analyzing over 100 incidents of IDF sexual violence is that Palestinian children -- especially boys -- are systematically targeted.
2/3 - The sexual violence database is not public, but we offer accounts to vetted researchers and journalists.
If you are interested in applying for access, please reach out: https://t.co/uoo2HhbYzi.
1/2 - Journalists: we now have a dedicated form to sign up for updates from Databases for Palestine.
Researchers who are not journalists (from the academic, activist, or human rights community) are welcome to sign up for DB4P updates as well.
1/ Website launch.
IDF Movements is designed to help researchers & human rights attorneys investigating war crimes in Gaza.
The software is part of @databases4pal's efforts to build memory, so that one day there may be justice.
1/ Researchers: We just launched a forced displacement order archive for Lebanon.
We @databases4pal will update this database daily, as Israel issues new displacement orders targeting Lebanon.
(Link to archive at end of thread)
Working with @gazamaps on how to visualize 2 years of unrelenting forced displacement orders.
Here are over 150 forced displacement orders, mapped, in chronological order.
These are (we think) all of the digital FDOs. We are still mapping the leaflets.
We just launched a blog. We now have the ability to self-publish without relying on a platform.
We won't publish too often. Maybe once or twice a month. Perhaps more at first.
