We’re coming to the end of a productive week on the island of Rurutu. The main focus of our time here has been on building relationships with the community and briefing them on our research. However, we’ve also been able explore the caves and gather samples. #PolynesianCaves2024

A lovely end to a run of in-person workshop-lectures. At the end of the session, one of the students said loudly '... that's so cool!', and smiles from class members all round. I was summing up how much we can learn about the natural world using the tools of Wave Physics.
I'm going to miss these views! Sadly, I am leaving Tassie and @TasInAg@UTAS_ in a few weeks' time and moving to (literally) pastures new!
I'll be taking a new role as Associate Prof in Sustainable Pastoral Systems @CDUni 's Research Institute for Northern Agriculture in Darwin
