Bridging the digital divide in Liverpool 🚀

@vodafone's everyone.connected programme is transforming lives in the Liverpool City Region, where 300,000 people face digital exclusion.

Since its launch in August 2023, the initiative has already surpassed its initial goal, helping over 4,500 residents stay connected. Through tablets, in-person digital skills training, and six months of free mobile connectivity, locals can now access critical services like job opportunities and healthcare.

30 government-funded mast upgrades have now been activated across the country as part of the joint industry #SharedRuralNetwork programme.

Communities in North York Moors National Park are now benefiting from faster, more reliable mobile coverage as the latest government-funded #4G network upgrades were switched on. Local businesses and residents can now take advantage of better connectivity, accessing mobile coverage from all four mobile operators - @EE, @ThreeUK, @VM02News and @VodafoneUK, closing the digital divide between urban and rural communities.

Telecoms Minister Sir Chris Bryant has commented “It is fantastic to see 30 Government-funded masts being switched on, breaking down digital divides across the UK.”
