@BenLeiker @eyuplovely Whe did Matt say this (I am busier these days but miss Matt being around more he was my favorite)?
Has he been on a few times since his stroke?
@WentzworthI @ThrustingPickle@planefag It does seem like the technological superiority crowd sits atop an unsaid assumption that the US will be able to fight against nations individually with a 10000x budget and 50+ year tech advantage.
None of these things seem like they will scale up when we get past a bush war.
@DannyVietti As long as MLB is run as a business they will likely not care. There are more people outside the US than in it. They need to expand the viewership to survive.
@stiiizysmoked@SterConnor@Parzival_jay@ScandalousSnake The story is about him learning how to responsibly use his powers dude. If Mark had the right answer for everything there would be no conflict or tension in the story and it'd be an uninteresting show about animated fights. Him being wrong and learning his lessons is story.
@stiiizysmoked@Parzival_jay@ScandalousSnake It's not about being reasonable. Marks greatest fear at this point is ending up like his father. This represents to him a window into that possible future.
@Raul27752120@MacMallyMMA@badazn Sumo wrestlers would probably not go for a NFL contract. The top of sumo wrestlers gets treated far better than the NFL could offer to get them to switch. More likely honestly would be really gifted Americans stepping into sumo as there are already a number of nom Japanese sumo
@hollowman777@Big3GOATRace@stacycay Well then get ready for public services to collapse. To the levels they were at last time we operated that way.... the 19th century.
@19o91899 @JayElHarris Him, Zuckerberg, bezos, gates, thiel etc are all part and parcel to the silicon valley tech libertarian crowd. They all have and will continue to be chameleons with their aesthetics to get whatever advantages they can. All they care about is the bottom line and person power.
@Meridian416@C4mpyy @DiabolicalSpuds You do understand that "chiropractor" is a license with a scope of practice right?
I don't really care what you think either you can easily find systematic reviews and meta analysis on pubmed showing its competitive with other interventions for MSK pain if you cared to check.
@Meridian416@C4mpyy @DiabolicalSpuds A lot of it is but there is a lot of peer reviewed research that disagrees with you. I will agree that adjustments are often employed in pseudo or outright unscientific ways though.
Most of the people I work with are doing exercise therapy. Do you think that is pseudoscience?
@C4mpyy @DiabolicalSpuds Like you don't even have to try hard and you can probably find a chiro within a few miles of you talking about how he can adjust your kids autism away while explaining to you that vaccines gave you cancer.
@C4mpyy @DiabolicalSpuds As a practicing chiro I'd say the profession deserves the bad reputation. There are good chiros doing good work but the whole profession has an insane libertarian/small business streak and refuses to regulate itself and all the charlatans and frauds literally hurting people.
