5–6 months ago, very few knew his name. Today, Eshan Malinga is living a dream that feels straight out of a movie script.

Coming from the gem-rich lands of Sri Lanka, perhaps Muttiah Muralitharan and the SRH management have unearthed another precious gem for the cricketing world.

Eshan’s journey is built on sacrifice, resilience, and family. Raised in a humble household, with his father working as a tuk-tuk driver, the road was never easy. There was even a point when Eshan was ready to give up his cricket dream to help support his family. But his family refused to let him walk away from his passion they chose to carry the burden so he could continue chasing his dream.

And today, that dream has come full circle. He is part of an SRH side that has already reached the playoffs, and now he gets to take his entire family to watch him play on one of cricket’s biggest stages. If that isn’t what success looks like, what is?

In the early stages of this IPL season, Eshan became a key pillar of the SRH bowling attack, consistently removing some of the biggest white ball stars and playing an important role in SRH’s victories.

Who said IPL success stories belong only to India? Sometimes they begin in a small Sri Lankan home, powered by sacrifice, belief, and a family that simply refused to give up. ✨🏏
