There's no way to sterilize surgical instruments that have touched PRION infected tissue. Standard autoclaving, UV radiation or chemical disinfectants, none of it works. Prions survive everything. The instruments have to be incinerated and disposed.

During MD, majority of people gets married. After MD also job market is very competitive. The only option is left with DM. They work hard and get a rank. Now due to this delay, most of them are jobless and at the age of 31-32, no one can ask money from parents.

MBBS: 5.5 Years
MD/MS: 3 years
1-2 years in exam preparation. Then months of waiting for counseling. Those who can afford 30-35 L are giving USMLE, but what about those who can't afford???

In India there is MD in Aerospace Medicine, DM in High Altitude Medicine. So, no doubt the importance of these subjects are increasing. DM in Space Medicine can also be started for MD Aerospece Medicine and MD Physiology.
