Today, I’m looking into what exactly @SeismicSys is trying to fix
Most people think the problem is that blockchains are public.
I don’t think that’s the real problem.
The real problem is this:
Public blockchains make it difficult to build applications that rely on confidentiality.
That’s a subtle but important difference. Because transparency isn’t the enemy.
It’s just not suitable for every application.
Imagine these applications relying entirely on public blockchain data.
> Payroll
> Healthcare
> Credit scoring
> Identity verification
> Auctions
> AI agents negotiating contracts
Now ask yourself…
Should every detail of those applications be public forever?
Probably not.
So the problem isn’t transparency.
The problem is that one privacy model is being forced onto every application, whether it fits or not.
This is where privacy becomes essential.
