@e_LeedsUnited@alancaw This plays right into his "Canada vs. the World" spiel. They win 6-0 and the main talking point is about how the coach is an unsophisticated tool. Which is true, but he leans into it because it brings attention, why give him the attention.
I actually have time this year to do some recruitment suggestions, currently have my candidates screened by data and once I complete the film watching portion should be ready to go around next week !!
If we're talking to clubs like Wolves and West Ham about buying any of their players, I wouldn't be surprised if a player+cash deal is made. Seems like an ideal way to get something back for players like DJ/Gruev/Piroe, are still top players at that level if willing to step down
@MOTweets1919 DCL being up there is even more impressive, given his history. The two of them together force opponents into mistakes, which isn't reflected directly in stats. He has some tech, he's a premier league footballer (see 2nd goal @ Newcastle) but not nearly often enough. Squad player
@kevinsnaith84@leedsthat@gerrymcdermotya We've gotten fantastic value for money every summer under these owners. That's what matters, there's no value to be had in spending shed loads of money for the sake of it. I'm sure if they paid the full asking price for players, people would moan about that as well. Can't win.
@LufcApl Aaronson is frustrating, but Stach moves like a guy that is 6 foot 4. I don't love him receiving the ball facing backwards, especially higher up. I think we could put Bogle on the right of DCL in possession, Okafor on the left, and any of Gabi/JJ/Stach/AO free to join the attack
Thought Bijol contained Sesko well, albeit they didn't start playing a lot of balls for him to chase until the second half. The one time where it looked like he was gonna get cooked, Amad hit the wrong type of pass. Overall though, missing Rodon's channel defending barely hurt us
People who watched Okafor at Milan know that he has a sixth sense for loose balls in the box. Which is why I still have hopes for him as a second striker. Think he offers value running with the ball from deep, but not unlike Rodrigo he may be more useful higher up
Bournemouth recruitment and player development over the past couple years has really been excellent hasn't it. Truffert, Jimenez, Kroupi, Petrovic all look like great signings, Hill has come out of nowhere and looks like a top half PL CB. I also really like the young serbian CB
Barely 5 minutes into the match, and Diomande has played a pass that most top midfielders would struggle with. Can anybody fill me in on why he's still at Sporting
@Pow7777777@LUFC Another piece of evidence which shows that critical thinking skills are not taught to or valued by English officials. Literally no advantage to be gained by intentionally going to ground there. A lack of common sense combined with not wanting to upset their mate on the pitch
It's actually going to happen, isn't it? Does Villa get crowned as the newest member of the Sky 6 if they finish 3rd? Can't be a "top 6" with one of the members playing 2nd division
@ConorMcGilligxn Much like Longstaff, he's a victim of others' success. Doesn't offer enough in the final third to play as a 10, isn't as good of a duel/ball winner as Ampadu, not as creative or versatile as Stach. And Farke seems to want 2 holding mids on the pitch at all times, hence Gruev.
