@JakeLandauTO Their upload speeds are just abysmal. Stuck with them at the office for the next 18 months but bouncing to bell at the first opportunity. It’s like being in the stone age with rogers
@TheKingofWHL@avfcstew@BridgesLeo123 Yup, we’ve made some shitty financial decisions that we’re still getting away from, but we’re getting there. People forget football is cyclical. Teams there now WILL fall away and be replaced
@TheKingofWHL@avfcstew@BridgesLeo123 Chelsea have an amortisation nightmare coming around the corner, so if we keep doing what we're doing, we'll be able to reap the benefits of them having to penny pinch (it'll happen, you can't keep selling assets and increasing amortisation without getting fucked hard)
@TheKingofWHL@avfcstew@BridgesLeo123 Yeah, I'm sick of hearing all this BS that we can't, essentially, go and buy titles. That's literally what we're complaining about. We missed the boat there, coz we were shit at the time. Now we have to do it the hard way, because, again, we were shit when it mattered.
@larterlia1957 Again, wait and see.
We have to change HOW we play, it's not just about WHO plays. We might actually end up better, more balanced and more varied, by not forcing everything through Rogers like we did last year (which hurt us when he wasn't on it - which was too often at times)
@avfcstew@BridgesLeo123 Yeah, it’s tough. But it is what it is. We’re doing a bloody good job so far, and are almost at the tipping point.
We were still a championship side, what… 8 years ago? We cry about not being able to compete financially. You have to earn that - and we’re getting there.
@codingwithroby This is the difference between AI assisted coding by people who know what they're doing, and understand the results, and vibe coding from people who have no clue what the output is or should be.
@StevenBillingh5 IMO there are probably 5 teams, including us, who could win it if they get the breaks with luck and injuries. Obviously we wouldn't be at the very top of that list, but I feel it's going to be one of those years that all kinds of crazy shit can happen.
@larterlia1957 Not necessarily. We'll have to see how the team actually does on the pitch. Just because a team sells players doesn't always mean they get weaker, even if those players were big name ones. Just like buying players doesn't always make you stronger (Liverpool)
@larterlia1957 And how did that work out in the end? It's almost maybe like having a bit of patience would've been sensible?
And here you are doing basically the same thing again. Do you never learn?
@espenstrand We're not really one in one out, if we're shrewd it might be 3 out 5 in. But there's only so much additional cost we can add in total - we have wiggle room.
