School leaders don’t need Executive Orders and intimidation to do the right thing for students - it’s already happening. If DOE communicated with the field they would already know this. https://t.co/M6VqSqQfwD https://t.co/M6VqSqQfwD
"HB 20 contains no protection for students against discrimination, little oversight, and is ripe for fraud...and would act as a tax-dollar giveaway to wealthy families. There has never been as much vocal opposition to a piece of legislation in NH." - Rep. Mel Myler #NHPolitics
I was proud to join the 6000 Granite Staters who spoke out against this bill to weaken our public schools & use taxpayer dollars to fund private institutions.
Thank you to Rep. Myler, @dave211, @pcornell52 & all who led the opposition to this devastating legislation. #nhpolitics
HB 20 is an outrageous attack on public education and will be devastating to students, families, communities and our economy. After lots of testimony from out-of-state lobbyists and an out-of-touch commissioner, NH voices are being limited to 2-minutes.
"This bill would remove money from public education, increase property taxes, benefit wealthy families, and allow discrimination against students." - Rep. Mel Myler #NHPolitics
Yes. Fairness for students and taxpayers. The school funding commission shows how both can be achieved and includes the use of a property tax circuit breaker.
Would be happy to see Psmth advocate for any of a number of very reasonable changes to how state funds schools. Perhaps start with the City Council adopting a clear resolution stating their top three changes to improve fairness while protecting impoverished in your city.
"Conspiracy to attack USA is not protected by free speech. It is a criminal activity called sedition and heinous act to attack Capitol is not free speech either, it is called treason. NH's top education official @NHEdCommr should know the difference." -@LindaTannerNH #NHPolitics
Happy 2021! We are happy to welcome you to our new Twitter account, the official account of the New Hampshire House Democratic Caucus. Here you'll find updates from Concord, press statements from our members, and more. Follow along! #nhpolitics
Thank you @DanFeltesNH for your leadership to fund full day kindergarten, spotlight the importance of early childhood education and prioritize public schools in the state budget. Good work my friend! #NHpolitics#HappyNewYear2021
Thank you @dave211 for your hard work chairing the commission, & to @jaykahnnh, Rep. Myler & other members, for a bipartisan product that puts student equity first. #NHPolitics
"Students shouldn't go out into life without the ability to communicate.
Your success in life will be determined largely by...
-your ability to speak,
-your ability to write, &
-the quality of your ideas,
**in that order**."

Everyone knows that how New Hampshire funds public education is a really big issue, and now more than ever.
School Funding Commission Update 4-13 https://t.co/iAYAYcxJix
Let's all stay healthy and active, and safely enjoy the great things about New Hampshire! Some great memories from the primary trail, thanks @blathamNH@MichaelBennet#hopkintonNH
Granite Staters are still making their way to the polls! We’re in Hopkinton with @hodder_c, NH Rep. @dave211, & Tom Burak meeting voters committed to this democracy. #NHPrimary2020
Glad to have Claudia Damon and David Ruedig on our team!
I will lead from the White House with one central question in mind: Will this help or hurt the next generation? https://t.co/pyZndsofds
Thanks to @Dave211 for convening local educators & community members in Concord to discuss how we can invest in our kids & transform our education system to build opportunity for the next generation.
As the first superintendent to run for president, that's who I'm fighting for.
The choice we face in this primary is between unrealistic promises that breed further cynicism & building political momentum to achieve actual progress for you and your family.
Together, we can build a broad coalition to achieve The Real Deal.

Great to see so many friends and neighbors start up 2020 with the first day hike on the Hopkinton Greenway Trails. Happy New Year! #hopkintonNH#nhpolitics
Grateful to kick off the new year with my wife @DaggettSusan, two of our daughters, NH Rep. @dave211, and the community in Hopkinton for their annual hike! The beautiful outdoors in the Granite State reminds us of home.
