While many of us are celebrating the holidays, our dedicated law enforcement staff is busy protecting wildlife. Rangers, drivers, and others work tirelessly to combat poaching, especially as demand for bush meat rises. We are proud of their hard work and commitment. #Rangers
To ensure the success of our community development programs, we hold regular meetings with village leaders to discuss our business plans and gather their insights. This collaboration provides our projects to effectively support and uplift the community sustainably.

Our preliminary findings reveal a significant leopard hotspot in the southern region, particularly around Nyamwashama, Muyumbu, and Rurama, where we've identified at least 23 individuals within 100 sq km.
We have exciting updates from our leopard survey in Akagera! In the past 13 months, we set up 284 camera traps that captured 948 photos and identified 59 individual leopards: 27 males, 25 females, and 7 of unknown sex.

Akagera is thriving thanks to enhanced safety and community support! Since 2010, wildlife populations have surged from under 5,000 to nearly 12,000. This growth highlights the successful collaboration between the @RDBrwanda and @AfricanParks in revitalizing the park's ecosystem.
