I write about leadership, faith, family, and growth — grounded in real life, not theory.
I’m interested in how people build character, lead well, and stay disciplined over the long run.
No hype. No shortcuts. Just doing hard things the right way.
Agree on adaptability — I’ve watched it separate careers, marriages, and companies for over 22 years. The people who adapt survive the storms everyone else drowns in.
But the greatest gift in life? That’s Jesus and His forgiveness. Everything else, including adaptability, flows easier when that’s settled.
Both can be true. One is eternal.
@LewisHowes Tell my three kids this constantly.
You become the average of the people you spend the most time with. Choose accordingly.
Who’s in my corner? My wife of 22 years. She’s seen every version of me and made every one of them better.
@PositivitySaid I believe you what you appreciate in life tends to appreciate in size and value in your life.
You tend to find what you are looking for
@patrickbetdavid This is why I’m writing a book to my 28-year-old self.
The wisdom I needed then — about faith, marriage, career, drift — nobody handed it to me in one place.
My kids will have it in writing.
The transfer is the whole job.
Played golf at Lindsey Golf Course on Fort Knox today.
Yes, that Fort Knox.
The gold vault sits right behind the green.
Some history I learned after the round:
The course was built in 1933, designed in part by an Army general. In 1943, in the middle of WWII, Byron Nelson won the Kentucky State Open here.
Think about that. Armored divisions training for war. The nation’s gold locked up next door. And one of the greatest golfers ever winning a championship on this ground.
Playing it on July 4th weekend hit different.
Only in America. 🇺🇸⛳
A wise man once said, if you want to hate America, watch the news. If you want to love America, drive across it.
These European World Cup tourists are experiencing the REAL America for the first time: not New York City or LA, but middle America and all its hospitality. 🇺🇸
Reading the tributes pouring in for Kyle Busch.
Two things keep showing up:
Respect for what he accomplished professionally.
Love for who he was as a dad and husband.
That’s it. That’s the dream.
When it’s my turn, I hope people say both.
That’s not just a hope. That’s the mission.

Heartbroken by the news of Kyle Busch.
41 years old. A husband. A father. Gone too soon.
You can talk about the championships, the records, the wins. And they are extraordinary.
But tonight I keep thinking about his kids. Especially his son Brexton — who idolizes his dad and is already following him into racing.
No trophy, no championship, no legacy on the track compares to what a father means to his children.
Hug your kids tonight.
Prayers for Samantha, Brexton, and the entire Busch family. 🙏
We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
