@miles_commodore The same reason frat boys drink beer and older men drink scotch. Taste buds mature.
I believe it’s an evolutionary adaptation. Young people have strong bitterness aversion to keep our ancestors from accidental poisoning before they are mature enough to know what to eat
@TeslaPatriot@cashrulesNC First class and business class commercial is for wealthy people who aren’t wealthy enough to fly charter. Compared to private charter, it’s a good value if you have the means.
Also, business travelers, of course.
@MikhailaFuller I believe it's actually a bad thing.
Obviously alcohol isn't good for you, but socializing is, having friends is.
Young people aren't going out. They aren't living. It makes me sad.
We couldn't wait to get our first car, our first beer, our first kiss, first everything.
CIA scientists concluded that COVID came from a lab leak. Then someone scribbled out their conclusion at 2 am and changed the report.
Tomorrow, a whistleblower testifies before my committee. The COVID cover-up is unraveling.
I really think it depends on the aircraft. If it's a domestic flight on a 737 or similar, I agree completely. I wait until last call to board. However, if it's a midship entry, such as a 757, where you can turn left upon entry, then it's a completely different experience. You don't have the entire plane shuffling past you during boarding. Drinks are served. Conversations are possible because you don't have hundreds of people in the aisle. Etc. In fact, I think they should not be able to call any section of an aircraft with a forward loading door "first class."
The old 747's that Virgin Atlantic used to fly were the best. Upper Class had it's own boarding flight bridge. The service after boarding and before takeoff was worth the price of admission in and of itself.
