@rohan_connolly@ESPNAusNZ Most clubs have the same problems - but winning papers over them. Joel Selwood declared at the beginning of the season that he was actually delisted by the cats and not a single AFL journo wrote about it. Yet, Brent Harvey's delisting has been as big a story as Pendles record.
@rohan_connolly@ESPNAusNZ Great write Roco - but as much as clubs (not just Essendon) poorly manage themselves into these situations - with the AFL about to hand out a 6th Assistance Package in 8-9 years, surely they need to recognise that their own system is broken and too hard for clubs to improve?
@vcg47@stickers_bown@vrsaljak@FOXFOOTY Im pretty sure the rule says a player either runs with the ball or disposes it - Larkey did neither of those therefore it can't be advantage. I doubt any of that went through the umps head but I'm fairly certain this is the way it is
@Aldersonaldo I actually disagree with razor on this one. Rules say that adv is initiated by either running with the ball or disposing it - and neither of those occured cos Larkey missed his foot with the kick π€£
@deedledodedum@AFLewy Yeah I see that. And I'm adding to that suspicion by the fact that a weird number when applied to a rounded % comes out as a nice neat number on the other side
@Chardy53102203@Bombers_Boss I can't help but feel like the position they're in is karma for all of the laughing emojis he's fired our way the last 5 or so years
@rohan_connolly@essendonfc People say hold onto senior players for your young guys to learn from. But I think the quicker a rebuild becomes the youngest and least experienced, the quicker the rebuild actually begins. If you're being belted with the senior players, may as well be belted without them.
