@TheDevilsDNA Don't disagree with some of the issues you're raising but Sancho, Rashford, Antony and Garnacho will not be in the squad at the start of the season. You can't lose 4 attackers and not strengthen.
@DevilsITDPod You discussed Hojland in detail last wk but surely the player that will really need to step it up is Rashford? In this system, heโll face more competition for a starting place, he is 27 and arguably offers less out of pos than other options.
@DevilsITDPod Obviously missed this but would love to know whether you think Ugarte was actually signed with one eye on this switch in coaches. There were a lot of questions raised about us pursuing him, and the price in the summer. In this context does it now make more sense.
@DevilsITDPod How does a manager like Amorim fit into unitedโs supposed desire for a cohesive, long-term club game model. Seems like you would have to massively adapt the squad to fit his preferred approach and if it doesnโt work out youโd have to completely change again.
@FootballLaw@SamBIitz Remember when the mark of a successful youth system was players graduating into the first team. It would be nice to see some analysis of how many first team minutes City have given their academy graduates vs. other EPL teams. Not sure this is really something we should celebrate.
@TheDevilsDNA The Vivell appointment is an interesting one. Bringing in someone in July, on a short-term contract, with (according to The Athletic) a brief to ID talent which "fits the game model". Doesn't scream "run the same set-up again" but also odd when key targets already seem set.
