Hounded out by right-wing media.
He lost his brother months into his leadership and still carried on with grace.
A shameful moment in political history
If people genuinely believe Burnham won’t receive the exact same media onslaught, they’ve not been paying attention.
Starmer is not, objectively, bad. This idea that he is somehow the worst PM in British history is frankly laughable.
Liz truss lasted 49 days, crashed the pound and was laughed out of Downing Street.
Since Labour took office, Keir Starmer’s government has:
• Scrapped the two-child benefit limit, lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty and putting money back into some of the hardest-pressed households in the country.
• Expanded free school meals, cutting costs for families and making sure more children get a proper meal during the school day.
• Expanded funded childcare, reducing one of the biggest monthly costs facing working parents and making it easier for people to stay in work.
• Raised the National Living Wage, increasing pay for millions of low-paid workers.
• Strengthened workers’ rights, giving people greater protection against insecure work and bad employers.
• Introduced statutory sick pay from the first day of illness, so workers are less likely to choose between their health and their wages.
• Ended no-fault evictions, giving renters more security in their homes.
• Brought rail operators back into public ownership, taking key services out of failed private hands and giving the public a stronger stake in how they are run.
• Cut NHS waiting lists from their post-pandemic peak, meaning more patients are being seen sooner.
• Raised the state pension through the triple lock, protecting pensioners’ incomes against rising costs.
• Scrapped the old non-dom tax regime, making some of the wealthiest people in the country pay more fairly.
• Added VAT to private school fees, raising money from those most able to contribute.
• Removed business rates relief from private schools, ending an unjustified tax break.
• Increased neighbourhood policing, putting more officers and PCSOs back into communities.
• Helped bring knife crime down, meaning fewer families face the devastation of serious violence.
• Recorded the lowest homicide rate since the 1970s, a material improvement in public safety.
• Created Great British Energy, giving Britain a publicly owned clean energy company.
• Created the National Wealth Fund, backing investment in industry, infrastructure and clean energy.
• Passed planning reforms aimed at getting homes and major projects built faster.
• Improved relations with the EU, reducing diplomatic hostility and rebuilding practical cooperation.
• Agreed a UK-EU security partnership, strengthening cooperation on defence and European security.
• Signed a long-term partnership with Ukraine, reinforcing Britain’s support against Putin’s invasion.
• Secured new trade agreements, opening up markets for British businesses.
• Helped restore seriousness to government after years of scandal, chaos and decline.
People do not have to like Starmer. They do not have to vote Labour. But pretending this is the record of the worst Prime Minister in British history is absurd.
Keir Starmer prosecuted Murdoch, & took the press to Court, jailing some & closing the News of the World. What the press have done to Keir Starmer is bitter revenge .They set out to destroy him from day 1, starting with specs & suits. The same press who ignores Farge's 5 million
This is what happens when you forget gimmicks such as the failed Rwanda scheme and just get on with the job of processing asylum claims.
It’s what this Labour government said it would do and it is delivering.
Right so Keir Starmer has reduced immigration by over 70%, kept us out of the Iran War, massively boosted defence spending, reduced NHS waiting times, and started growing the economy again.
But we should sack him off for Burnham in under 2 years because Manchester has £2 buses?
So Starmer’s sorted the ECHR. As he promised. So no need for Reform to ditch our human rights.
Another policy taken away Reform
So
Immigration to nearly net zero
Boats down
Economy growth best in G7
What Labour MPs are doing is criminal @ayeshahazarika@TimesRadio
I’m furious.
So much so I almost want Burnham to lose in Wigan, something I could never have imagined saying.
These bastards that ignore the wishes of @UKLabour membership, fail to maintain the party line, and display such disloyalty deserve nothing more.
They need teaching a lesson.
I hope @The_TUC are listening too. They should not be allowed to ride roughshod over the rank and file.
And all about a poor result in midterm local elections in the face of unprecedented media attacks on Starmer, despite the progress made in just 22 months.
Outrageous.

UK coup resignations:
Blair - 7 ministers in 2006
Corbyn - 17 in 2016 coup & 10 quit the party in 2019
Johnson - 48 ministers over 5 days in 2022
Starmer - 4 ministers. Streeting's alleged 'coup' fizzled out.
Puts it in perspective.
Starmer is the adult in the room.
And the British public don’t like bullies and like fair play.
It is apparent to anyone with a brain that there is a witch-hunt against the PM by the media & fuckwits in Labour.
‼️Keir Starmer is a quiet man who tries his best and is genuinely trying to do the right thing for the UK, not himself. Yes, mistakes have been made, but there has been an organised witch hunt by parts of the right‑wing media, Reform UK, and waves of bot‑style accounts across social media. The aim has been to cause reputational harm and make Starmer’s name toxic on the doorstep. When you ask people why they dislike him, very few actual facts are offered. A mention of Mandelson here, a complaint about changing direction there, but nothing that justifies this level of hostility. This feels like a manufactured crisis designed to bring down a sitting, democratically elected Prime Minister. That is harmful to the country and to our democracy.
The reality is that he has been steady and serious in a period when the UK desperately needed stability. Economic indicators have improved, international investment has increased, and the UK’s diplomatic standing has strengthened. Starmer is respected abroad at a time of global instability, and that matters. Over the last 48 hours there has been a clear upswell in support for the PM as people realised a leadership challenge might be brewing. That kind of instability would damage the country and undermine our international reputation at a dangerous moment in history.
Labour MPs also need to listen. Some of the noise and destabilisation is coming from within their own ranks, and it is only helping those who want to see this government fail. Internal briefings, public attacks and performative resignations do nothing but weaken the party and strengthen the forces trying to push the UK towards the far right.
Starmer isn’t a “big personality” like Johnson or Farage, and that is no bad thing. He is a man of principle, seriousness and public service. He was given a huge mandate to lead. The idea that he could be pushed out by a coordinated media pile‑on, internal noise and external pressure is shocking and frankly unbelievable. Hold firm! #Starmer
