When hiring, most of your practices to ensure hiring no one bad also ensure you can’t hire anyone who is fantastic.
E.g. requiring a college degree. Or a certain numbers of years of experience. Or dumb brain teasers.
Every low pass filter is also a high pass filter.
One side says the bad guys are the immigrants. The other says it’s the billionaires.
Both ideas just as idiotic with the slightest bit of scrutiny. But boy do they play well with their base.
Watch out for anyone who tells you your neighbor is the enemy.

I'm 58 and still building stuff at 2am.
I was similarly obsessed when building for the early web in the 1990s. But this is way more fun.
