@Benioff@elonmusk@Tesla Curious... Back in 1985, at the Tscuba Expo in Japan, I watched a purpose-built robot play piano, reading the sheet music at it played. I'm think you're not even close to that yet in a so-called general purpose robot. I'd love to wrong -- post a video if it can!
@WolfSixty @gunsnrosesgirl3 So... actual licorice? I love that stuff! It's like Ouzo-flavored candy. And now you're going to probably say you don't like Ouzo, Anisette, or other things that are flavored with anise!
@Acyn Johnson keeps saying his bill helps the middle class, but he NEVER says just how that happens. How does more deficit spending help the middle class? How does taking power away from the courts and Congress, handing it Trump, help the middle class?
@Acyn The bill cuts services used by the lower classes. The extended tax cuts mean $90/year for the lower 20%, average of $600/year for 20-40% brackets. But between tariff-induced inflation and lost services, most of the country will be far worse off.
@sovereignbrah Or with that one little folder on Donald Trump removed. If Epstein even had a Trump folder. Back in those days, Epstein considered Trump his best friend... he's said it in interviews. He may not be in the files... but I'd look for John Barron and John Miller, too.
@MmisterNobody Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life. But in fact, the 40 hour week came thanks to the Unions. Prior to that, Industrial Revolution jobs were typically 60-100 hours a week. Almost like being an Engineer!
@JacobCanfield No, they won't. Tesla made $7.3 billion in 2024. Last week, it was valued at $1.2 trillion. That huge difference is shareholder and Wall Street belief in Musk, plain and simple. He's been Tesla's worst enemy recently, but if he left, the stock would crash.
@RossKneeDeep Curiously, if Trump went on National Television and admitted to he and Musk cheating on the election, the only remedy is Impeachment. If a majority of Congress doesn't care about that, he's still POTUS. If he's got 34 supporters in the Senate, he's still POTUS.
@Dks8119@RepMTG@realDonaldTrump Donald Trump didn't sent any bill. The bill was created in Congress. Trump was involved in discussions of what went in it, far more than in 2018.
@lenac2009@RepMTG The ability for states to have oversight doesn't preclude Federal oversight. The bill is stripping states of any part of that oversight. It is not a net gain in the effort to carefully observe AI and minimize it's social disruption. It's going to disrupt, have no fear of that.
@JaredRyanSears@RepMTG Sure... but it's a longstanding tradition to finish up the final bill late at night and demand a vote, perhaps by the next day or the day after. Thus making it impossible for legislators to read, thus allows all kinds of secret shit to get through.
@KylieJaneKremer@RepMTG There's a short section that makes it far more difficult for a Federal court to issue contempt charges against a member of the Executive Branch. This is part of Trump's intentions to start routinely disregarding court decisions. Maybe something that needs a closer look!
@TONYxTWO Trump was far more involved in the bill than he was in 2018, but it's true: he doesn't know what in it. And yet, Trump was at Congress, pushing and threatening every Republican to vote for the bill... that most didn't have the time to read. He's as culpable as Congress.
