TV Olympics coverage:
BBC - mostly interviews with competitors families, trying to make them cry.

The problems humanity faces today demand a positive mental attitude and a sense of compassion for others. I firmly believe we can solve the majority of our problems by developing a sense of universal responsibility—wanting to do something for others without a selfish motive.

I just learned that a dear friend in the UK has just died, killed by Covid. I'm really sad. I'm going to take a couple of days off social media. Please get vaccinated, if not for you for those who cannot.

Why do so many adults read children's books? I think it's because children's books are really books for EVERYONE. They're written for an audience that includes children, but excludes no-one. So you can never be too old to read them, and to love them!

It’s broken isn’t it ? We’ve broken what we do with food . Pears grow in the U.K. They could grow in our gardens . We could walk out and pick them , wipe them and eat them . No chemicals , no processing , no plastic , no planes , no sell by dates . Just fresh fruit . God help us
