@andrewpprice@ivanrosadev On web purchases it depends on the payment provider that the site has signed up to with respect to the payment process as to how much data is saved for the order. And there is a big difference data need between buying physical goods and digital goods when doing an online purchase
@andrewpprice@ivanrosadev I think it does depend on the country, in NZ I have a number of services for which I pay online (fuel, phone bill, electricity), where one it is setup works with a single click through the phone. Biometrics to confirm the purchase. Or Geo location before payment can be made.
@ahonestwriter @AntheaMcQuoid @RawiriTaonui Well you have spent time being exposed and brought up in the "English Culture", or that bit of the "local culture" that the defenders of the "English Culture" wanted to be taught.
@slayasweetie@Misrednz@KeepingMum How many of those are truly long term jobseekers, How many are not seeking work? We hear multiple years etc, but home many come on and how many leave each month. Is that 20K people loosing their jobs in Jan or 20K reclassified. What percentage of the pop is that?
@chrisgsimon1971 @mrdhsxe @thereadymix The five private oil companies that were the share holders of the company that had got the refinery when the government of the time sold it. The same shareholders that voted to shut the place down as they could make more profit shipping in refined fuel.
@1965FairlaneNZ@warwick512@thereadymix Labour didn't mothball it though. Private industry shut it down when they decided it was cheaper to import fuel. And the government decided not to renationalise the refinery. So currently it is in a state where a new refinery would have to be built.
@mrsks91@manz03144219@FrancisL867@1sPlaza@flavell5@goddek No, I an not refering to the trans discussion, This is the use of English language, and using they/them is not a woke thing, but an acceptable means of refering to anyone in the third party in a sentence. I would use they when talking about you as I don't know your gender.
@mrsks91@manz03144219@FrancisL867@1sPlaza@flavell5@goddek Not quite sure what that has to do with the use of grammar, and when you are talking about someone where you are not sure of their gender, but I might disagree with an anorexic person if they asked me directly.
@FrancisL867@1sPlaza@flavell5@goddek And because I don't want to use too many words and it is not a new age woke thing, I would follow up that sentence with, 'would they like to collect it' refering to either Mike or Sue, or both. don't really care.
@jen21949@john_grono@2ETEKA@Irina523019 No it wasn't, CDC moved from the og version of COVID 19 focused PCR tests to a multiplexing PCR type test mechanism that could detect both COVID19 and other viruses (e.g. influenza, SARS, or any other virus type you wanted to rule in or out), to save diagnostics time..
@praisethechrist @1NewsNZ Because of the limit of character and want people to read the story and not just tweets. The story mentions the mob almost straight away
@therealPigBenis@thebigcheeze@Abby48253536@drakeslayer100@MattWallace888 looking at the charts, all the scales are different, there is no indication as to what the death rate it is reporting, if this is a world wide or just US chart. There are just so many things wrong with the display of those graphs that you can not confirm anything from them
@PaulLambertNZ@jeffcthomson With the distance that Uber drivers tend to do per trip, they can do short top up charges, and if they are really doing say 300km a day that is the range of most of the EVs that Uber uses and they can always charge over night when they stop.
@NigelBrunsdon@HarmLessTony@jeffcthomson Well if the FET is removed when they move move to distance RUC for all vehicles, it just becomes a fair road charge for all. Sooner rather than later in my view
