Woman posts publicly that I reported a post. I reply I didn’t have anything to do with it and that outing reported and reviewers votes isn’t cool. So what does she do? Reports me for discussing moderation. Can’t make this up.

I finally disabled my @nexdoor account. As a founding member and lead, it was time to go.

It asked me to select a reason, but picking one was impossible. There are too many ads, too many negative posts, and I don't find it useful anymore.

It was a cool platform to and a way to get to know your neighbors a few years ago, but Nextdoor Holdings, Inc has crapped it up by trying to generate revenue with ads and trying to be inclusive to everyone to the point where moderation is a joke…

Which is unfortunate because I sent so many small businesses to Nextdoor to advertise [the correct way] over the years because it had the untapped potential for reaching consumers in an authentic way. But now it's unusable as a consumer (and forget about it if you're a business)

The decision to allow commercial posts in the newsfeed and thereby removing the ability to report/moderate those posts has been the final straw for me as this removes what little value it had to be a platform for connecting with your neighbors in a positive way.

@AmericanAir I appreciate hip enthusiasm but travel isn’t a game. The gross incompetence with this airline is astounding and impacting lives. Passengers are irate, gate agents are frazzled, there are about 5 planes with of people at customer service and nobody at @AmericanAir seems to care

Called @americanair to change flight to another day. Same route, different day. Somehow got a credit too which was unexpected.

Sweet. Until we realize she changed our departure city to a state we’re not in.
