@maartenhopman94 I am a Canadian of Dutch ancestry. I was in NL in 1988 for Euro and love Oranje. My country’s team has never been there to cheer for. I told my kids that when NL defeat Morocco tonight I am taking away my Oranje flag and gear and cheering for Canada, it’s my country of birth. 👍

@fan_ofpolitics @RealAlbanianPat except that the liberal vote share went up from 38.5% to 48.5%. so any strategic voting was more than offset by liberal gains. bloc vote share did also increase from 38.5% to 46.5% … so it’s certainly plausible that both are true and that it simply didn’t matter.

@girdley to many of us it was very simple. target has a value proposition in the USA that was not delivered upon. higher prices for the same goods were, rightly or wrongly, seen as a "canada premium" profit grab. poor logistics made it hard to find what you wanted. bound to fail.

@aedison Chagnon butter from Quebec is available in a number of GTA grocers, fleur de sel or and non. 84% butterfat v 80% standard. spreads super well. Melts beautifully in a pan. Costs almost the same as branded butter when not on sale. Not sure why it's not everywhere.
