Today, Council had to approve a wind down of the Green Line Program as a result of the Government of Alberta terminating the project on September 3.

There was no negotiation or discussion of a different solution. Just a swift end to 1,000 jobs and 70+ contracts. And we as the City of Calgary carry the liability on all of this.

Our hand was forced by the provincial government, and like many Calgarians, I am incredibly saddened.

I ended up in emergency on monday. The paramedics told me that they rarely have lineups now like 2 or 3 years ago. There are clinics called Skip the Wait. We've used them three times and never waited more than 5 minutes to see a Dr. Never paid, but competition does wonders.
