@wolfejosh Hereโs a word: whistleblower, an employee, former employee, or applicant who reports, either internally or to external authorities, reasonable evidence of illegal, unethical, or dangerous activities within an organization. They expose wrongdoing
The government is fucking lying, and the citizenry needs to preserve evidence since the federal government is actively inhibiting the investigation. Framing the whistle blowers as provocateurs is victim shaming and itโs pathetic.
The "whistle blowers" are calling attention to their fellow citizens to document what is happening. ICE is erroneously and wrongfully detaining citizens and legal residents of color and sending them out of state (Texas, typically)
further:
1 I don't have an issue with ICE. i have an issue with the excessive violence or lethal force of ICE. no need.
2 it was definitively too violent + excessive lethal force from ICE. nothing required guns. even if he had a gun, there were 4+ ICE agents on him with bulletproof vests trained to disarm + disable assailants even shooting in leg OK nothing required lethal force shooting to kill.
3 on protestors: i also dont know why the noise/whistle blowing provocations. it is ONLY going to cause blowback. ICE agents were WRONG to use lethal force AND whoever was following ICE agents around and blasting noise in their face/ears is NOT peaceful protest. it is provocation/incitement hoping to get a reaction. be angry. be vocal. protest. but do NOT put yourself in harms way or incite or provoke.
Framing this action as a provocation that logically leads to violence is completely fucking abhorrent and astoundingly hypocritical from somebody who spends a good deal of time heaping adoration on Iranian protestors while agitating for military intervention

@wolfejosh Isnโt the purpose of the second amendment to provide the citizenry means to counteract the very action you describe in your first sentence?
@pitdesi@girdley Obviously the Dutch ID system didnโt cause the holocaust, but the role of that system in the holocaust is very well known in the identity world. Itโs worth exploring given your question above.
@pitdesi@girdley The Naziโs co-opted the Dutch ID registry to ruthless effect. On a percentage basis, the Jews in the Netherlands experienced the worst cleansing.
@NSmolenski His campaign isn't successful because his platform perfectly aligns with Trump's.
He is not running to be president; he just wants to be positioned as the next administration's Jared Kushner. Do four years of bootlicking, then leave with a giant PE fund backed by ME SWFs.
@NSmolenski I don't follow how he is being prevented from running. He's appeared in plenty of debates and is on the Iowa and NH ballots. Skipping the Illinois primary is his campaign's decision; it's not a conspiracy of party gatekeepers.
@TheStalwart@markets Also, arguing that projections are guarantees and sufficient for an investment decision is an ironic argument from a prominent member of silicon valley
