Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality.
There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it!
I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America.
OpenAI was founded to benefit all of humanity.
So tonight I did a deep dive into the OpenAI case using Gemini to learn more, and during the convo I kept getting this uneasy feeling like the agent wanted me to look favorably on what Altman did. This is the AI harm that Musk was trying to protect the world from with the OpenAI foundation; I'll explain...
I'm not going to argue the ethical wrongness of Altman converting a 501(c)(3) nonprofit into a for-profit entity, which will most likely lead to a generous downstream compensation package for himself; that's not the point of this post. The point of this post is to shed light on the harm AI bias can cause.
I asked Gemini a series of questions, which moved from general to more specific, fact-based questions as the convo developed. My questions were unbiased and purely data-collecting-style questions, yet Gemini still presented the facts with heavy bias.
If AI is trained on parameters it collects from the public, like news, etc., but there is an underlying strong bias from the sources, then AI will always present facts with bias. So if you're a child and reading about politics using only AI right now, then you probably hate Trump, despite all the things Trump has done to protect American freedoms. This leads to misinformed voting, which leads to bad policies, which leads to loss of freedom and liberties. This is exactly what has happened in our colleges.
In the same way college professors funded by the far left indoctrinated our youth to vote for radical policies and policymakers, unchecked AI is now in the position to do the same. I think that's dangerous in the hands of people who don't know any better, like our youth. There are many other dangerous AI use cases that I'm sure Elon Musk considered during the founding days of the OpenAI foundation, but for me, generational brainwashing is right there at the top.
And to the anti-trumpers who want to make this post all about hating Trump instead of the dangerous implications of unchecked AI, I can't wait to read your comments.
@elonmusk They should offer a finders fee for fraud like what they do with tax cheats. Think about how much fraud would surface. Why don't they do this?
@EricLDaugh@elonmusk The government should offer a reward to people who help uncover fraud, like the IRS does for tax cheats. That guy who made the video shining a light on this fraud should be given a reward.
@brian_armstrong Brian, your support needs a lot of help. Insiders in your company are taking money and tokens out of my account or there is a software bug causing the issue, either way it needs to be investigated and it's not. We trust you with our money, I don't anymore.
