This is a great article that includes a story I’ve never heard before.
You know as the years pass I focus less publicly and privately on 2011. It was and always will be an indescribably special moment for our organization and community. The memories will always be cherished. But as my longtime partner Harp says to me often “Follow, the beat goes on.” Maybe I’ve just come to believe the best thing in life is be where your feet are as much as you can and don’t look back or ahead too much.
But when you hit these milestone anniversaries (10, 15, 20 etc.) it’s healthy to indulge in some reminiscing. For example I have loved @SportsSturm Sturmstack game recaps the last few weeks. And I gotta say this was a great read for reminiscing purposes too!
The Mavericks have scaled the NBA Playoff mountain and have planted their flag! They are the NBA CHAMPIONS FOR 2010-2011!!!” 🔥💙 —@coopmavs
Goosebumps. There will never be another run like 2011.
The Dallas Mavericks will never trade Cooper Flagg's mentor...Unless Kyrie asks to be traded. That shows how committed he is to the team. How much more does Kyrie have to do to win over your hearts. He's a Dallas Legend!!!
When asked who he’s most excited to match up with in the NBA, Yaxel Lendeborg immediately brought up Cooper Flagg:
“I’m going to be super excited to play against Cooper Flagg…. Definitely want to see how I translate and how I’ll be able to guard somebody like my height that can do so much so well. Super excited about that matchup.”

“We saw the dumbest basketball team in the history of civilization. … The San Antonio Spurs helped the New York Knicks win this game.”
Charles Barkley after the Spurs allowed the largest comeback in NBA Finals history 👀
The Spurs are the only team in NBA history to have:
76 or more points in the first half
30 or fewer points in the second half
...in any game, regular season or playoffs.
