@StarsBright_29@ArchaeoBenjamin You think a man with a penis is a women because he feels like a women. And out of all things in this world you use creationism and richard dawkins as a metaphor.
All of your opinions are a joke. It’s almost sad.
@Orpheuseru@Athias_@DSlappey1@ariyaariIL Good question. Abraham saw three men. Two went to Sodom. Abraham speaks to the Lord which now appears to be one man.
Does this mean the living God could manifest as a man here on earth?
Could some people want to kill him like the two men that went to Sodom?
@Orpheuseru@Athias_@DSlappey1@ariyaariIL The Lord appeared to Abraham. Abraham looked up and he saw three men. The author doesn’t say he saw two angels and one man who is the Lord, isn’t that weird to you?
Also in the creation text:
„Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness.“
Why speak in the plural?
@Athias_@DSlappey1@Orpheuseru@ariyaariIL When Abraham was vidited by God, it was three visitors. Genesis 18:1–15
Did God also lead you to different Gods when he inspired the writer of Genesis.
Or do you think Abraham lead you to other Gods because he reported he saw three persons that were God?
@GAL4_sixteen@ariyaariIL I‘m a christian. Stop spreading BS like that, the downward trend of the church started before the creation of Israel.
Actually there isn’t even a downward trend regarding the numbers, only the influence of the church, but christianity is still on the rise globally.

@tinoroyalz@raine77073@_OKJ__@dazaiel It‘s not pointless if you believe Christianity is true. You‘re actually giving yourself a very good reason to believe in Christianity if you think like that.
Thinking life is pointless makes you depressed. Christianity will give it a meanimg. Therefore Christianity=feeling good
@jeffaccordion@peachtard If you call the holy father retarded you should not become a catholic.
Thanks for considering our religion but there are plenty protestant churches where you probably fit much better!
@PickenChews@SteveSkojec You know in life it happens sometimes, thatyour loved ones die. And then your life still can become better than it was even though you miss them.
@PickenChews@SteveSkojec The encounter with God isn‘t abusive. After Job talks personally to God and God shows him the complexity of the world, everything in his life gets restored and better than before.
@CoffeeBear5@SteveSkojec I created a new account to see whats going on here and I‘ll delete it soon, as it’s not good for my mental state here tbh, I‘m from Austria.
@_OKJ__@dazaiel Hitler was also appointed by God to be a good man. Hitler didn‘t answer his calling and instead listened to the deciever of the world. It’s a choice everybody can make.
@PickenChews@SteveSkojec Same as Mr Steve Skojec you simply miss the point of the story.
It challenges the idea that suffering is always a punishment by God and that prosperity is a reward from him. It teaches you that you can’t understand him, but that encountering him will heal you.
@PickenChews@SteveSkojec Well it‘s not exactly a fable. The genre of the Book of Job is called wisdom literature by scholars, not a fable.
A fable usually teaches a moral lesson, while wisdom literature explores deeper questions about life and God.
@PickenChews@SteveSkojec Jesus does this too with his parables. The story of the prodigal son reveals God’s forgiveness much better than simply saying that God forgives.
In history, a father probably forgave his son, and a man probably lost everything and encountered God like Job and was healed.
@PickenChews@SteveSkojec If God is real and these stories reveal who God is, then it is not that important whether they happened. The stories are realer than an historical event if God is real.
Why a story? Stories stick and convey a much deeper meaning than a simple statement like “God heals you.”
