It is truly disappointing to see an elected official treat a former party member with such mockery.

Every member, especially one who feels compelled to resign out of dissatisfaction, deserves to be heard rather than ridiculed.

Engaging in sarcasm instead of addressing valid concerns about party democracy only widens the gap between the leadership and those they represent.

@LabourParty is it acceptable for an elected official to behave in this manner towards members?

Frankly, such behaviour might be expected from a member of the Reform Party, but it is entirely unbecoming of a member of the Labour Party.

I hope that when the next election comes around, the voters make it clear to you exactly what they think of this attitude.

@thomasbowell Your pompous and snidey comments say so much about you and the 'new' leadership of the party. I agree with Viviane and also resigned my membership for very similar reasons after voting Labour for 50 years. I suppose we and others like us are expendable in your eyes.
