We could & should be allies.
I’ve met dispossessed Palestinians, seen demolished homes & learned the Nakba from family of those who lived it. Will fellow leftists confront their prejudices?
Why I am no longer talking to the ‘left’ about Israel— Palestine. https://t.co/qAbXDenpzZ
Thank you to everyone in the UK and around the world who supported the campaign to bring Emily home, and for all your messages here on X. You are amazing and we love you all 🤟
94 hostages still need us🎗️💛
So many times it seemed this moment would come only for hopes to be dashed.
Finally #ceasefire has been agreed. Hopefully a turning point for #Israelis and #Palestinians, especially the families of the hostages and nearly two million displaced and devastated people in #Gaza.
There are several indications tonight that a hostage deal and ceasefire in Gaza may finally materialize.
Stay tuned and hope or pray, whatever suits you best.
446 days 🎗
For all who celebrate Hannukah, please keep Emily in your hearts when you light the first candle tonight.
Or light an extra Menorah for her in your window.
Merry Christmas. Happy Hannukah. Bring them home.
‘Supreme Court justices are shapers of social norms…a moral compass…their decisions and conduct signal what is proper and valuable…Yariv Levin's candidate lives on stolen land, private Palestinian land, and his explanation "everyone does it."

Israeli media is reporting that the IDF will not let Palestinians return to Jebalia after the operation there is over. The 65,000 people who call it home will be forced to remain south of the Netzarim corridor.
The entire top third of Gaza will be depopulated in accordance with the “General’s Plan.” If this is true, it is ethnic cleansing. There can be no other name for it.
After Hamas killed Palestinian critic Ziad Abu Hayya, several friends in Gaza messaged me, expressing fear for their lives due to their criticism of Hamas. One friend pleaded, saying, “Khalil, please, we want the international media to write about this. Hamas always fears international media covering its crimes.”I promised him I would use my platform to amplify his message.
Hearing the words of Mandy Damari, the mother of the British hostage being held by the terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, is exceedingly tough. I recall how some weeks in Hamas custody during my jail sentence were a nightmare for me; if I were a Palestinian from Gaza and had to go through all of this because I said I wanted to live, imagine how it would be for a foreigner, a woman, in the custody of a group of barbarians who value nothing more than their death cult ideology.
Hamas still has 100 hostages; they have endured enough. More than 400 days is enough, and they should be taken home now.

Last night, two terrorists attacked the Melbourne synagogue in Australia, set the fire while people were praying inside, two people were injured, and luckily, no one was killed.
The rise of antisemitism has already reached scary levels not only in some European countries but also in Australia and the US. As a Palestinian, I feel ashamed seeing that overlooked, not to mention when I see such criminals claim that they are "pro-Palestine" and try to find a ground of justification for such crimes. All the support to our Jewish brothers in Australia.
"In some strikes, as many as four generations in the same family have been killed as residential buildings get bombed. Including many small children. For some families, there is absolutely nothing left to tell their story."

Just a few weeks ago, I was in Melbourne, meeting with members of the Jewish community to share about our work at Standing Together. This morning, I woke up heartbroken and outraged to learn about the arson attack on a synagogue in Melbourne, set on fire in an act of hate. My heart goes out to the Jewish community in Australia and everyone affected by this horrifying antisemitic incident.
In moments like these, we must remember that our greatest strength lies in our solidarity. It is through standing together and transforming fear and isolation into a collective passion for change that we can build a future where everyone is truly safe.
The Arab World research organization conducted a Palestinian Public Opinion survey on a sample of 1,000 people regarding what's happening in the West Bank, Gaza, the Day After, and the Two-state solution, and the results came as follows:
- 57% of the Palestinian society are with the two-state solution, with the majority of 74% in the Gaza Strip.
- 47% of the Palestinian society is with negotiations and a peace process with the majority of 64% also in the Gaza Strip.
- 73% of the Palestinian society want a Palestinian arrangement for Gaza for the day after.
- 49% of the Palestinian society want a national unity government (not Hamas nor the PA).
14 months have passed since the horrific Israeli settler terrorists pogrom in the village of Qusra, south of Nablus in the West Bank. They shot and killed four Palestinians, including a child, executed them in cold blood, and set fire to several civilian homes and vehicles.
As the village mourned and held the funeral for the first four victims, the settlers returned, mercilessly executing a father and his son. 6 lives were brutally taken, yet justice remains elusive.
The killers, known to the Israeli army and police, have not faced arrest or accountability for their heinous crimes.
Confronting the truth about Israel's actions in Gaza isn't easy, but hundreds of members of London's Jewish community gathered to do exactly that last night, from a panel of experts who have been interacting daily with varying aspects of the horrific reality in Gaza.
To hear about the withholding of aid - from someone in charge of an organization that coordinates aid trucks (@NRC_Norway). About the hospitals' inability to function without relevant medicines and equipment - from a doctor who has worked there multiple times (@Kdawas). About the widespread establishment of a long-term direct occupation throughout the Strip - from our executive director @weimanadav, based on testimonies that we gathered from soldiers who served there.
It was a difficult and chilling evening, but the audience understood that the reality in Gaza is much clearer on the ground than the Israeli politicians and media outlets make it out to be, and our job begins, at the very least, by speaking up.
Thank you to our partners at @YachadUK and @newisraelfunduk for organizing the event.
The idea behind #RainbowLaces was to bring awareness and break a taboo in football
We have more visibility now but fewer vocal allies
This line from Aaron Ramsdale really matters: “Having a brother who’s come out as gay doesn’t mean I’m the only one who has to speak out” 1/2
So many times it seems the few bits of good news during this awful 14 months fail to materialise into an end to war and bloodshed.
Hoping this time is different and this can be a step to the situation turning from ongoing expanding war to greater calm and security for all in the region.
🚨The Israeli security cabinet will convene on Tuesday 5:30pm local time (10:30am ET) at the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv to approve the Lebanon ceasefire deal, Israeli official told me
