Phenology is FUNdamental! @FelicityHarris6 @NSWDPI_AGRONOMY is presenting now at the #GRDCUpdates in #Wagga on how understanding time of sowing, flowering times and varieties can combine to optimise yield in your farming system. Read the paper here: https://t.co/HLA3rFvPDe
@CraigDavis_Agro@kentonp_ag Nationally is fine. I'm trying to get a dataset together to identify common rainfall or temperature patterns which makes this more likely. If you remember years when it was bad, I can get the weather data for that region
Need info! I'm looking for information on late season weather conditions that caused fungal grain damage. All I need is the year and location it occurred. I'd also love to hear about times you expected damage and found none! Please reply & retweet, more responses the better!
@CraigDavis_Agro@kentonp_ag Nationally is fine. I'm trying to identify triggers for fungal damage from rainfall, temp and humidity. For example, in 2015 we had 44 mm in one event and we had huge problems. This year we had 52 mm in a week, and there's been moderate staining.
It's here! The Southern NSW research results 2020 edition is now available online https://t.co/xVu5vIc71F Featuring the latest research on wheat, canola, pulses, nutrition, soils and more!
Main season sowing at Condobolin, NSW. Comparison of wheat and barley varieties with varying phenology types at different sow dates and an excellent moisture profile!
New @NSWDPI_AGRONOMY @GRDCNorth GAPP project, trials looking at phenology x tactical agronomy (TOS x plant density) of wheat and barley plus evaluation of barley genotypes compared to winter wheat for early sowing...off to a great start! ๐ #phenologyisfun
Today marks 86 years since the cessation of hostilities between emus and the Australian army in the Great Emu War of 1932. I will be among the many raising a glass tonight to the enduring peace we share with our ratite friends. https://t.co/1m8IKvpQJl
