@JohnStrick25234@WilliamWolfe I am amazed (probably shouldnβt be) at how many attack my grammar, and ignore the point I was making about Baptist and biblical being mutually exclusive at times. Deflection.
@ThigpenTiffany@jackngraham I have been a denominational (not SBC) leader for half my 50 years of ministry and it grieves me to see leaders put institution before people and reputation before character as Jack dies in this post.
@DavidRhoades@WilliamWolfe A better sample which uses the two words in the same way William did: A biblical baptist Southern Baptist reads his Bible and baptizes new believers. And you are ignoring my point while trying to correct my grammar, not his. Interesting.
@RingTailed16521@WilliamWolfe lol. I donβt post for likes. I try to speak truth, which is not determined by popular opinion. And SBC has admitted that previous positions it has taken were not biblical, which affirms my observation, whether you or anyone else likes to hear it.
@ULookRight@jackngraham Jesus would say that that is .0039% too many. Why donβt you agree with him instead of suggesting it is too small an amount to care? Every one of those children are precious in his sight, the impact of abuse is devastating, and those who perpetrate need to be millstoned, right?
@JeffreyPWiesner It is possible to do more than one thing at once. And something doesnβt have to be found in the Bible to be prudent, like rows of chairs/pews and pulpits etc.
@claysmith79 Alpha discovered that people in their online courses shared more honestly and cared for one another more deeply faster than people in the in person courses. Some people only have online options so letβs not shut them out of opportunities for fellowship and ministry.
@Brent_Hobbs It is not a Baptist distinctive. My non-Baptist denomination gives autonomy to churches within limits, just like SBC. Different limits, same principle. We just donβt brag about it as if it makes us special, like baptists do.
@pastordmack I am amazed how many people underestimate how their personal culture and history impacts how they interpret Scripture and also underestimate the extent to which Paul was speaking to a patriarchal society as he tried to bring freedom without unnecessary offense
